    Post Unanswered: Automatic Date Entry

    I have developed a database to track incoming invoices for one of my projects. I need to find a way to tracking the dates of when someone is enter the data into the invoice table. I know the system allows you to have a autonumber to track record in the table. Is there a way to track the date people enter data into my table?

    Please help, Cobby

    Can you run a query as they update and use the Access variable Now which always holds the date and time. The Int bit just gets rid of the time!

    Eg.

    UPDATE DISTINCTROW MYTABLE SET MYTABLE.DATE = Int(Now());

    Sorry forgot the Where bit!

    UPDATE DISTINCTROW MYTABLE SET MYTABLE.DATE = Int(Now()) WHERE MYTABLE.ID = NEWID;

    Or how about in the form's BeforeUpdate property's code behind the form:

    ' Set LastEditDate control.
    ctrLastEditDate = Date()
