    Unanswered: udb tablespace information

    Does anyone have a script that I can run on aix that will give me the free space, used space for each tablespace, a list of tables in each tablespace and a list of the tablespaces and what files system they belong to. I come from Oracle and this is new to me. I am having a hard time finding any information on the net.

    thanks,
    Chris

    some help with db2

    run the following commands you can put them in a shell script file:

    #!/bin/ksh
    db2 connect to database user db2user using db2password;
    db2 list tablespaces show detail;
    db2 list tablespace containers for [tablespace_id];

    This should do the trick. good luck

    Thank you but what I am looking for is a script that will parse out the information for each tablespace. For example
    Tablespace Name %used Size of the tablespace.

    Do you have anything like that?
