    Unanswered: Today ( ) Function

    I was wondering how to get the Today () function working in Access. When I try to insert it in a query, I get the following.

    Undefined function 'Today' in expression.

    I can't figure it out. I also tried the Now() function and made the format a short date, but it still inserted the date and time into the table. That wouldn't be a big deal, but I am using it as a primary key and I just need a Short Date.

    Any thoughts?

    I would appreciate some insight.

    Thanks!

    You can use Date() function.
    It returns the "today" value in the short date format from Regional Settings.
