    Unanswered: Unexpected table drop

We are a running sql server 2000(sp3) on a windows 2000 web server m/c.Recently one table on our database got unexpectedly dropped twice two weeks in a row .Our developers here are checking the code but havent found any code errors as such which could cause this.We are also suspecting a security breach but we are not sure.I would like to also mention that we use dts a lot.

Can anybody tell me why this could have happened.

The more you can find out by reading Transaction log if you haven't truncated and if you backed up then restore them to other machine to find out, where you can achieve this by using Lumigent's LOG EXPLORER and may use ENTEGRA to audit the events on the database.

Also you can run PROFILER if this behaviour is consistent.
