    Unanswered: Capturing error messages

Hi, I would like to know how to capture the error messages in Sybase ASE.
Consider from the command prompt i invoke dbisql with the wrong connect parameters.
I want to log such errors into a file.
    How could i do it.
Similarly if i want to capture table not present and such errors in stored procedures into a log file how would i be able to do it.

    Hiya thanai,

    That's easy...just use the -o switch.

For dbisql related messages, use the same switch in the dbisql cmd line
    -oD:\mydbisql.log

To capture server related messages, use the same switch in the ASA startup cmd line.
    -oD:\myasaerrlog.log

    Cheers
    Willy
