    Post Unanswered: compilation error in solaris 8

    Hi
    Trying to compile under Solaris 8 using Sun Workshop 5.0 i am getting error.

    C++ /DFFmon/TEERE/SUN/BTK/obt3410-64/common/lib/aaprotocol.o
    "/usr/include/iso/wchar_iso.h", line 100: Error: Multiple declaration for mbstate_t.
    "/opt/SUNWspro/SC5.0/include/CC/./iosfwd", line 51: Error: The name mbstate_t is ambiguous, std::mbstate_t and std::mbstate_t.
    "/opt/SUNWspro/SC5.0/include/CC/./iosfwd", line 78: Error: The name mbstate_t is ambiguous, std::mbstate_t and std::mbstate_t.
    "/opt/SUNWspro/SC5.0/include/CC/rw/iotraits", line 56: Error: The name mbstate_t is ambiguous, std::mbstate_t and std::mbstate_t.
    "/REE/erere/rogue7.0.4-i18n/rw/defs.h", line 542: Error: A typedef name cannot be used in an elaborated type specifier..

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    I have the same problem:
    /opt/SUNWspro/WS6U2/include/CC/rw7/rw/defs.h", line 316: Error: A typedef name cannot be used in an elaborated type specifier..

    typedef name error

    For the typedef name error,
    include the compiler option : -library=rwtools7 -library=iostream
    & give a try.
