    Unanswered: ontape backup error

while ontape running we got following message on log file
    "Archive of [dbspace] aborted"
    message on console
"ISAM error : no free disk space".
I hv checked DB02 & all DBSPACES having enough space during that period of time...

    any lights

    Re

Backup processes are write data into file system or tape device so the space in your post is mean that tape device or file system

Check the filling degree of your temporary dbspace during
the archive (onstat -d). I guess that the temporary dbspace
is running out of spaces because before images from the
physical logged are copied to the temporary dbspace.

You might need to increase the size of the tempoary dbspace(s)
    and re-run your archive.

    Best regards
