    Unanswered: PHP and Fox Pro on a Linux platform

    Hello,

    is anyone here who have idea about how can a move some data from a FoxPro database to a mysql one, or postgresql, under a linux platform.


    Than i have to put back that data to the foxpro database.

    maybe are some tools that transforms a foxPro2.6 database to another one that can be published on the web

    I know there are lots of tools/applications that can connect to Foxpro database via ODBC. Since I know nothing about MySQL, dont know if one can connect thru ODBC.

    Then you can use application like PowerBuilder which has DataPipeLine to copy data from one source to another. Also, various ETL tools like DataJunction would let you copy data from source to destination.

    Worst would be export Foxpro data into a text file and then if MySQL has some data loading utility, load this flat file into MySQL and vice versa !
