How do I get the CurrentRecord property into a query?

Use the current records primary key as criteria

Use the current records primary key as criteria.

Do you mean AutoNumber? That is not the same number as CurrentRecord.

If, for example, I have John Doe's information on CurrentRecord number 38, the AutoNumber could be completely different, depending on whether I had added and deleted records.

Also, if I delete records entered before John Doe's record, his CurrentRecord number would be changed.

CurrentRecord numbers are used over and over again. AutoNumbers (or other PKs) are used only once. When a record is deleted, that AutoNumber is gone forever.

That is the point of a PK it uniquely identifies the record. Let's say for example we have a client record we want to find, the table might look like:

    ClientID (Autonumber and PK)
    ClientName
    ClientAddress

To uniquely identify this client in our query we would use ClientID as Criteria.
