Unhappy Unanswered: Running .sql files from forms 9i

    Hi all,

Our application is running on a Web based 3 tier architecture. We have a requirement to run a *.sql file and spool the output file on the middle-tier. Do let me know how to do the same from Oracle Forms 9i ?. I know that we can invoke SQL*Plus from Forms using the host command. But, how to run the sql file from Forms ?.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    regards,
    Sampath

If you can invoke SQL*Plus from forms, cant you invoke SQL*Plus with the file name in the command line ? Something as below :

    c:\oracle\bin\SQLPLUSW.EXE scott/tiger@test @myscript.sql
