    Unhappy Unanswered: Filling Form fields

    I have a form with two combo boxes and I want to fill each combo depending on the value of the other:

    Example for one of the Combos:
    SELECT [CourseHistoryBeginDate] FROM CourseHistory WHERE ((([CourseHistory.CourseHistoryCourseID])=[Forms]![CourseContacts]!CourseContactsCourseID));

    I've been trying different approaches with no sucessful results.

    Please provide some input on how to solve this.

    Beginner's questions :-)

    Make sure you are referencing the right column in you're combo field. Also you may need to refresh your form before selecting from the second combo.

    You can requery the secondcombo each time when the first combo is updated,
    eg.

    forms!yourform!secondcomb.requery
    or
    You can use the AfterUpdate procedure from the first combo.

    eg.

    forms!yourform!secondcomb.rowsource = "SELECT....."
    forms!yourform!secondcomb.setfocus
    forms!yourform!secondcomb.dropdown
