    Thumbs up Unanswered: Import Data from sql server to Oracle

    Hai,

    What I requried is I need to Dump the some selected tables data into
    the My Oracle database.Here thing i don't have full control on sqlserver database.For me only avialble dsn on this.

    Here another typical Problem is I need import the records only Last week created or updated records only.
    What I mean to say id Here i need to run sheduler file.I have to import only the records In betwen When I last run the sheduler to now.

    How to trap only in this mean time what are the records are created and
    what are the exisiting records are updated

    On this issue if any body having the idea Let me know

    you first can create a view that will give you the selected records based on date/time for example.
    next you can create a DSN entry for your oracle database schema.
    last you can use DTS to export the view to oracle via the newly created DSN.

    It won't works out for my Problem beacuse On Sql server Machine I don't have any control.Just I know "Dsn " name and I have Privilage for read Only.

    I am thinking to Implement Hetrogeneous services Transparent Gateway Technology..

    Please Let me know if any body knows how to configure ..

    Is there any Limitations?
