    Question Unanswered: Sybase DBCC PSS

I am curently working on Sybase ASE 12.0. I would like to know more info on how to analyse DBCC PSS Info outputs. As a sample I have attached the DBCC Info file.

I would like to know if DBCC PSS Info will give any clue if a SQL statement failed while executing. what do p2stat and p3stat give mean? Is there any way of getting SQL statements out of Sybase's Shared memory other than DBCC PSS?

In the attachment you can also see a statement :
***** summary for fragment pool Pss Frag Pool 991429044 *****

what does this mean? It shows

    ## used memory = 336
    ### (overhead = 336)
    ### free memory = 14000
    ### total memory = 14336

    what memory is this?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance,

    Hiya Anu,

Your best bet on such information is from Sybase itself.

Not many in public newsgroups would have information on undocumented dbcc commands.

Contact Support in your region or probably try one of the Sybase public newsgroups at
