Question Unanswered: SQL Server Agent/Jobs Performance Issue

Hello, we are having issues running jobs from the SQL Server Agent Job Mgr. I have run the same stored procs that are causing the performance issues when run as a job in the SQL Query Analyzer window and they run just fine. When run as a step in a job, they are slowing down the entire server. These issues seem to have gotten worse since we upgraded to SQL 2k. Does anyone know why I should not be getting the same results when calling a proc from a job as when I call it from my query analyzer?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

First of all check the SQLAgent service account privileges on the system and whether any other any jobs overlapping at the same time.

To check the slow performance you can use PROFILER to trace the activity and PERFMON to get the system counters to assess the situation.
