Install the Sybase ODBC Driver available in your PC Client Software CD.
Using DSEDIT setup an entry for the ASE Server running on Solaris.
Establish a DSN to the ASE on Solaris using Windows ODBC Administrator. maintain the same servername as in your DSEDIT.
Use MS-Query to connect to the Server via the ODBC DSN.
Thanks for the answer, but the only PC Client I have is of 12.5.
I've installed it, and now DSEDIT returns me a Warning window:
"Fail to initialize LIIBCTL.DLL. Please make sure the SYBASE environment variable is set correctly." - and exits.
