    Unanswered: Transferspreadsheet

Hi. I export the result of a query as an Excel spreadsheet. When I open the Excel file I get an error message that says, "File error. Some number formats may have been lost." I have no choice but press "OK". I then press the Save button and close the excel file. When I reopen the file, the error message is gone. Anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Have had the same problem

The same thing happened to me when I used a field type of nvarchar or char and only use numbers in that field such a zip code. Sometimes zip codes start with Zero. Excell will convert it to a numeric value and drop the leading Zero's. Can be a problem, was for me.
