Angry Unanswered: export takes long time to complete ?

    Hi All,
I got some strange problem while exporting the data's from large table.
I tried to export the data's from nickname which was mapped to sybase server which contains 4.5 millions rows with simple predicate (<> of one row) and it takes 7 hours to finish the complete export.
I tried the same query for another nickname which was mapped to sybase which contains 3.5 millions rows with the same predicate <> of one row) and it takes 1/2 hour to finish the complete export.
we was wondering about y its takes so long time.
Both the tables are same and has same structure.
If anyone helps in this situation it will be great ful.
    thanks,
    kumar

    Hi,

IBM is working on to solve the performance problems with federated systems. According to my experiance the fixpack 2 for DB2 UDB v8.1 makes big performance improvements.

I would suggest you to try install DB2 UDB 8.1 and install the fixpack 2.
See IBM fixpack support page to download fixes http://www-3.ibm.com/cgi-bin/db2www/...ist.d2w/report

    Hope this helps,
