    Unanswered: Excel and MS Query

    Hi all,

happy to be the first who broke the ground of this newly added forum. thanks a lot Paul :-)

i am using excel as a read only front end of mysql server application. i design a lot of ms queries in an excel file to connect to mysql via ODBC for data. its working GREAT coz i am having powerful mysql database server and an easy-to-be-customized excel file as front end.

my problem now is i wanna install my system on another network and of course the IP address of mysql server is different. it seems that excel saved the ODBC connection string when i designed every single query, it doesnt refer to user DSN any more.

HOW can i change the information (server IP address, login name, password etc.) for all the queries in the excel file WITHOUT re-designing them all again. vb codes in excel will not be a challenge with me.

Any comments will surely be welcomed and APPRECIATED. Thanks in advance
