    Unanswered: Working with SQL Scripts

I was wondering what is the largest file you have generated from mysqldump or what is the largest file you have successfully restored. Does anyone know what limitations, if any, there are on restoring from a sql script.

I am not sure if MySQL has an upper limit, it usually is an OS level issue. For example pre EXT3 in Linux you could only have file sizes up to 2GB. My opinion is that if you start having datafiles that exceed a 2GB threshold, you may want to look either spliting up the data, finding a way to descrease the size or look at some other DB (InnoDB, SQL Server, Oracle - yeah if you got a few grand$$$ lying around).
