    I want to pause a form for 3 seconds after an onclick event , I see I can put a timer on the whole form , but not based on an event ?

    I got the answer

    VBAPROGRAMMER is correct , For the benefit of others looking for the same answer I used the following and it worked fine :

    in the "onclick" event of the form button

    Me.TimerInterval = 2000

    and another sub :

    Private Sub Form_Timer()
    Dim stdocname As String

    stdocname = "clockout6"

    DoCmd.Close acForm, stdocname
    End Sub

    Form_Timer() is placed in the ontimer event of the form properties , leave timerinterval at "0"

    thanks VBAPROGRAMMER
