Unanswered: delete database with script sql

    hi,
    I've oracle 8.1.7 on windows 2000.
I must delete an instance oracle "FIRE" , but I have any problem with database configuration assistant because It not run correctly.
Can I drop the database "FIRE" with a scripts sql. (svrmgrl?)
    If so, How?

    Thank in advance!
    Raf

Re: delete database with script sql

I hope I have covered all the bases ...

    0- Shutdown database
1- Stop the oracle service for FIRE
    2- At command prompt
    oradim delete sid FIRE
4- Delete the FIRE directory(all data files, control files, redo log files and any associated file to that database).
    5- Edit TNSNAME.ORA & LISTENER.ORA
