    Unanswered: Mysqldump error 2003

Anyone knows what can cause :

"Got error: 2003 Can't connect to MySql server on 'localhost' (10061) when trying to connect"

The server is on Win 2K and mysqldump is started from a Win XP station.

-I can successfully ping the server from the Win XP machine -I have NO PROBLEM connecting with mysql with the same user and password from the Win XP station but mysqldump just refuses to connect.

    Any idea?

Finally got it. The mysqldump on the "client" workstation was a 3.23.x while the server was 4.0.4. Replaced the mysqldump executable with the proper version and everything went smoothly... But the error message is pretty weird though!
