    Unanswered: listener configuration

    Hello,

    Does anyone know if is it possible to have one listener that accepts connections from only one specific oracle user ? This is for security reasons, because I have a web server that connects to an internal oracle server, and I would like to limit the access to only one user. Is there another way to do this ?

    Thanks.

    AFAIK you have to write a logon_trigger

    Ok, thanks.

    I will try with afer logon trigger and get the user and ip address with:

    select sys_context('userenv', 'session_user') from dual;
    select sys_context('userenv', 'ip_address') from dual;

    Thanks again

    Sure give this user CONNECT privilege. Revoke it from the rest of the users. No one w/o CONNECT will be able to connect.

    Hope that helps,
