Unanswered: Performance Issue while Loading Data

My Database is Oracle 8.1.7 available on Win2000 OS.
Actally i receive data in Text file, we are dumping the same into oracle temp table. Text file contains around 100000 Rows.
I have to insert Rows based on different conditions from Temp Table to Orginal Table.
I want a optimised solution for the same.

    Thanks & Regards

which utility r u going to use Import or SQL LOADER.

U can increase the buffer if import to the maximum.

Did u try out the import /loading - are u recieving any issues here.

Try to import to a temp table in a test database them split the data and again export to diferent files.

Use these files to import to the original teable on the live database.

    Thanks Mr.Mickykt,
Here we are not using Loader/Import tools. Our Developers they dump data using XMLs into temp table.
    Our work is like this.
First we need to dump them into temp table later we need to process each row based on different conditions, if something is wrong we need to dump that row into error table else fine.
If we use SQLLOADER/IMPORT it commits data. then temp tables data will be flushed.

Please guide me if am wrong.

    Thanks
    Udaya Kiran
