    Unanswered: Sybase single user mode

    Hi,

I am using Sybase ASE 12.0. Once I log into isql using sa account, how do i find out if I am in Single User Mode or Multi user mode.

I know that the runserver file provides this info. Is there any stored procedure or system table that gives this info.

    Thanks for any info!!

    Hi,

Thanks. I have a very basic query. I am starting the sybase server itself in single user mode and not any particular database. Will sp_helpdb yourdb still give me the info if the sybase server itself was started in single user mode? Looks I am a little confused ... please explain.

    Thanks Again,

Read your errorlog. If the ASE is started with the single user mode option (-m), you will find the info into the errorlog.

    Hi,

Thanks for the info. I am aware of the -m option in the errorlog and in the runserverfile. I would like to know if there is any stored procedure or some select statement or some system table that documents this info.

    Thanks!!
