Unanswered: How to call PL/SQL functions/procedures

    Hi
I wanted to get on with writing PL/SQL procedures and functions, but I am stuck at the point, that though know a bit of syntax, but where to initiate the procedure call.

I have sqlplus and yasql. Should I simply use either of them for creating PL/SQL functions. And how to do i call those procedures.
    I would appreciate your response.

    Hi Aruneesh

You can create stored procs/functions through sqlplus, just create a file with your create or replace ... Then load it into sqlplus using @<filename>. This will run your script against the database. Then to execute the stored proc use exec <stored proc>(<parameters>);.
If you use TOAD then that has a nice stored proc editor but you have to run the stored procs using begin <stored proc>(<params>); end;.
