Oracle has a utility called SQL*Loader that works much like DB2's IMPORT, although it has more features. You could EXPORT data from DB2 tables into text files and then load them into Oracle tables using SQL*Loader. It seems to be pretty straightforward.

    Hope this helps.

Being an ODBC solution, DTS may not be suitable for large tables though.

    CLOB import Problems

    Hi guys,

Thanks for ur reply.I used SQLLDR,It was greate.

I also user the SQLWay tool,I worked fine, for all tables except one, with a CLOB.

DB2 is having a field with varchar(32700).When this is imported to ORacle with a field CLOB it gives problems.THe field is having lots of HTML tags .

Can any one help me in this.It is just one table.

    Thank

    Re: CLOB import Problems

You can use the Replication with the Db2 Datajoiner to migrate data from db2 to oracle..it's a good technique!
