    Unanswered: Data from V$SESSION into a VIEW?

    How can I get data from V$SESSION into a view?

    If I try to make a view called test1 as:

    create view test1 as select osuser from v$session;

    I get the message that table or view does not exist.

    Cool Solution

    I solved the problem and found the solution:

    SYS has the ownership of V$SESSION - and this is not a real table or view. The user SYS has a view created V_$SESSION which has a public synonym called V$SESSION. Thats why it is readable from other schemas.

    Rights to the view V_$SESSION can be granted to another user and afterwards the user can create a new view based on SYS.V_$SESSION.
