Unanswered: Controlling 'Input Mask' Error display

Anyone know of a way to control or suppress the default error message that is displayed when a user enters data that does not match the input mask?

Alternatively, is there an even I can use that is triggered before the Access automatic error displayed?

Any advice on this, or alternative approaches to masking and controlling date/time entry into text boxes would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Best way to anticipate possible wrong entries by a user is the event "BeforeUpdate" : in this event you can perform any check on the entry you want (by means of some code) and allow the entry or not, according to the result of your check.
When the entry does not please you, simply set the Cancel to True and the entry will be rejected. You can even add a custom messagebox to alert the user about this.
