Greetings,
Currently I have DB Connect V8.1.2 and V7.2.9 on two identical Windows
2000 Boxes.
All the TCP/IP registries are the same.
The host Databases are same.
But the response time of V8 always slow then V7. When I did snapshot
for the V8 and V7. I found out that in V8 snapshot, it has no Package
name listed.
I ran a same query on V8 and V7. Here are the snapshots:

For V8:
...
Outbound communication address = 192.168.26.2 5023
Outbound communication protocol = TCP/IP
Inbound communication address = *LOCAL.DB2
First database connect timestamp = 07-11-2003
13:40:59.260635
Host response time (sec.ms) = 3.902979
Time spent on gateway processing = 0.001409
...
Statement = Static Commit
Section number = 0
Application creator =
Package name =
SQL compiler cost estimate in timerons = 0
SQL compiler cardinality estimate = 0
Statement start timestamp = 07-11-2003
13:41:20.762671
Statement stop timestamp = 07-11-2003
13:41:20.767005
...

For V7:
...
Outbound communication address = 192.168.26.2 5023
Outbound communication protocol = TCP/IP
Inbound communication address = *LOCAL.DB2
First database connect timestamp = 07-11-2003
13:34:04.021190
Host response time (sec.ms) = 0.609894
Time spent on gateway processing = 0.037881
...
Most recent operation = Static Commit
Most recent operation start timestamp = 07-11-2003
13:34:33.174802
Most recent operation stop timestamp = 07-11-2003
13:34:33.176628
Host execution elapsed time = 0.469747
Statement = Static Commit
Section number = 0
Application creator = NULLID
Package name = SQLC2D04
SQL compiler cost estimate in timerons = 0
SQL compiler cardinality estimate = 0
Statement start timestamp = 07-11-2003
13:34:33.174802
Statement stop timestamp = 07-11-2003
13:34:33.176628
...

My questions are:
1. Is that V8 is missing Package Name related to the slow performance?
2. If it is, how do I fix the problem?

Any inputs are appreciated.
