I recently installed SQL Server 2000 on my PC to do some testing. Everything worked fine until this morning. I came in and my computer was frozen. I rebooted and now SQL Server won't start. When I try and start it, it acts as if it were about to start then it goes back into stopped mode.

I checked the Event Viewer and found these three errors:

17066 :
SQL Server Assertion: File: <recovery.c>, line=2412
Failed Assertion = 'seenCkptEnd'.

18052 :
Error: 3624, Severity: 20, State: 1.

18052 :
Error: 2775, Severity: 16, State: 1.

There was also an entry that stated this:

17052 :
Cannot recover the master database. Exiting.

Any help would be appreciated!
