    Unanswered: Replicaton terminology

    Hello dBForum Group
Wanted to know what is the difference between two way replication
and Bi directional Replication. Are they same? If not, what is the difference?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, Two-Way replication and Bi-directional replication is the same terminology used for syncronising data both ways ie. (Publisher to Subscribers and from Subscribers to Publisher)

Merge replication is a perfect example of Bi-directional replication. Having said that merge replication could also be cocnfigured to work one-way

    HTH,
