    Unanswered: corrupt ldf file

I have a database I am trying to recover. No backup is available only a copy of the database, which also is corrupt. I can attach the databse using sp_attach_single_file_db but I cannot get it to create a new ldf. Any ideas?

What version of SQL are you on and what error do you receive?

Make sure that .MDF file has been properly detached usign SP_DETACH_DB, otherwise you won't be able to re-attach using specified SP.

BTW, what is the error during this process?
