    When i creat a webform or a winform i retrieve my data
    if change them: it change, i update: it seems update. If I retreive data again it show the new data base but if i close my application and open it again and retrieve my data it do not show the new database but the last one
    if i look by oracle it is only the old one!
    I certainly miss a thing
    what can I do

    this is the code for my windows application:

    Private Sub btnRetrieveData_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnRetrieveData.Click
    Dim ws As New Windoz1.localhost.Service1()
    ws.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials
    End Sub

    Private Sub btnUpdateData_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnUpdateData.Click
    If UIDataBag.HasChanges() Then

    Dim ws As New Windoz1.localhost.Service1()
    Dim ChangeBag As New Windoz1.localhost.DataSet1()
    ws.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials
    ChangeBag = ws.UpdateData(ChangeBag)
    End If
    End Sub

    and this is my web service code:

    <WebMethod()> Public Function RetrieveData() As DataSet1

    Dim DataBag As New DataSet1()
    Return DataBag

    End Function

    <WebMethod()> Public Function UpdateData(ByVal ChangeBag As DataSet1) As DataSet1

    If Not (ChangeBag Is Nothing) Then
    Return ChangeBag
    Return Nothing
    End If

    End Function

    if someone see something good for me just post pleaz....

    Sounds like it isnt commiting the data, so only the current session sees the changes its made but nothing else will see them.
