    Question Unanswered: TDS buffer length too large: %s

    Hi guys,
    I have a problem!!! I'm using ADO 2.7 to access a sybase DB by ASEOLEDBProvider 12.5 on connection directly, without ODBC!
    If I create a recordset and then open it, I receive this error: "TDS buffer length too large: %s" What's this error??????
    Can you help me?
    THANKS

    Question I have the same problem in Dot.Net

    System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: TDS buffer length too large: %s
    at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbDataReader.ProcessResults(I nt32 hr)

    I used ConnectString:
    Provider=Sybase.ASEOLEDBProvider.2;user id=sa;password=;Server Name=myserver;Initial Catalog=mydatabase;Server Port Address=5000

    The select statement is very long with lots of fields, any suggestion?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jim

    hi,

    Maybe you can solve the problem with increasing max network package size inside the ASE
