    Unanswered: TNSlsnr not running in win services.

    I have oracle installed on XPpro, my TNSlistener is no longer showing in my Services menu. I am not sure when the service 'disappeared' but I cant figure out how to get it back! any suggestions?

    Control Panel -> Services

    Hi
    I would try and relate my knowledge of windows with oracle, and try to attempt to provide you with solution.
    In control panel, in the services section, do you see TNSListener listed ?
    If yes, enable it to start automatically.
    If not, try running lsnrctl start from the command prompt, and see if it appears in the processes section of the task bar.

    Let me know if it helps.
    Thanx and Regards
