Unanswered: Mysql Service is Slowing Connections

    Hi,

I have installed MySQL 4.1 with Resin on RH9. Everything works fine, when started manually. However, if I install MySQL as a service and reboot... while, it starts ok, everytime I go to get a new connection, it can take up to 20 secs (versus 1-10ms if started manually).

Not sure what the problem is. Have I missed something with the configuration? It is odd that this setup works ok on RH7.3. Hmmm...

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Chrs,
    Ash

have switched back to 4.0.14 for the moment... and things are sweet again.

the logs aren't showing anything out of the normal either.
