    Unanswered: DB Disconnecting client

    Hi,

We have an application that uses OCI in order to interact with Oracle DB.

We do not set any timeout (we use the default behavior).

~Once a day we get an ORA-01426 and the database disconnect the client.

The user schema we use is set to use the DEFAULT profile and the DEFAULT profile's IDLE_TIME and CONNECT_TIME is set to UNLIMITED.

Is there any other way the server might be configured to kill my session.

    Thanks,

    Tal (otal@mercury.co.il).

Do you have a firewall. I have come across on two occasions where firewalls would disconnect a connection after a period of inactivity. So we had to put in a sqlnet parameter to keep the connection alive.
