Unanswered: FOR BIT DATA fields in Delphi

    Hi,
The question is for Delphi programmers who write for DB2 7.2
I have a problem while updating fields of type CHAR(13) FOR BIT DATA
using DBEXPRESS technology in DELPHI6. The error "String data right truncation" appears. Any ideas?

    Hi,

I do not know anything about dbexpress in Delphi, but if you can live without parameterized update for this column, you can do something like

    update table
    set column = x'hexadecimal representaion'
    where ...

    regards,

Thanx! This way is a little bit awkward but it seems to be the only
    possible.
