    Exclamation Unanswered: Backup file of MS SQL 2000 to be Restored in MS SQL7.0

    I have a backup file of MS SQL 2000 i want it to be restored in MS SQL 7.0. Is it possible?

    Thanks for the advice.
    I have been advised that it is possible to transfer the data between two live servers, so I will restore the backup into a temporary 2k server and do a db transfer.

    YOu can't use RESTORE statement to restore SQL 2K database to ver7.
    You can use dtS to transfer data between the servers.
