Question Unanswered: import text file to SQL Server DB via DTS

I'm looking for a way to import a delimited text file from an FTP directory to a temporary SQL server table. I can only find a way to import text to DB from local directory structure. I'd like to set this up as a recurring package in DTS. Can anyone tell me the steps necessary to make this happen?

    Many thanks - Paul

You can use an execute FTP task in DTS designer.

    Question DTS Designer FTP Task

I can't see a way to import the text file from an FTP location using this function. I am missing something?

Using the File Transfer Protocol Task, you can tell it where your directory is and in the files tab tell it the source and destination. From there you can use workflow to do whatever you want to it
