    Unanswered: security issue

In my DB I have a table 'employees' which contains the name of the person, his function within our company and the department he belongs to.
Meaning is that the consultants need to log in and depending of the department they belong they get information only of the employees of the same department.

I'm trying to secure my DB using the Access user en group-accounts, but I don't think I can do it this way.
How can I make this work?

You can create groups with departments as names. Then assign users to groups. After that you can set permissions to user.

Every single forms, repor, table and whatever can be blocked or not.

If you want to grant access to form based on query just block the forms in order to not-allow people to get relevant info.

    Hope this helps.

P.S. remember always to back up your db before working with password and permissions...
