Unanswered: access db via perl dbi ?

hi, i'm an newbee to mysql and perl dbi.

i want to establish a connection to mysql
server (successfully done yet) and create a few tables.

if that's done, it would be nice to make some inserts
    or selects.

but: how can i do this ?? would be great if somebody can
    help me !

    thx

The attached file should get you started. There are a number good manuals out there and the first place I would look is the ActiveState.com site to look-up the DBI documentation from their on-line Perl reference manual.
