    Unanswered: dbms_job

    hi,
    i am trying to schedule jobs by dbms_job. while executing i get the following error.The procedure testproc is created and in the system.

    -----My Bolck----

    declare
    jobno number;
    begin
    dbms_job.submit(jobno,'testproc',sysdate,'sysdate+ 1');
    commit;
    end;
    /

    -----Error--------

    declare
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-06550: line 1, column 102:
    PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "END" when expecting one of the following:
    := . ( @ % ;
    The symbol ";" was substituted for "END" to continue.
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_JOB", line 79
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_JOB", line 136
    ORA-06512: at line 4

    could anybody tel me what could be the problem.I am not being able to schedule my jobs.

    You just need to add a semi-colon at the end of the WHAT parameter:

    declare
    jobno number;
    begin
    dbms_job.submit(jobno,'testproc;',sysdate,'sysdate+1');
    commit;
    end;
    /
