Unanswered: Text field from MySQL to Oracle

    Hello,

I am migrating our databases from MySQL 3.23 to Oracle 9i, our database uses the MySQL TEXT data type (which allows inserting big amount of text) I saw that Oracle uses
VARCHAR and VARCHAR2 which limit my text to 4000 chars. The alternative is to use the CLOB but choosing this method we will need to amend all our queries and Java logic.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks in advance

    /Lior.

As far as I know the MySQL TEXT data types can handle up to 65535 chars.

I saw that I can use the LONG type in Oracle but I can only use it once in a table.

    Thanks is advance
    /Lior.
