Unanswered: Upgrade SQL 7.0 to SQL 2000

    Hello All.

I am currently on SQL 7.0.

I'm sure many of you have upgraded to SQL 2000. Would like to hear your experiences in the upgrade process. Eg. ease of upgrade, problem faced/encountered, changes needed on your original scripts & DTS packages, lost of data, and any other useful information, etc.

Any particular areas I need to pay extra attention?

Appreciate if you could advise me as I am thinking of doing an upgrade in the next 6 - 8 weeks when my new machine comes.

Thanking you in advance for your valuable advises.

    Best regards
    Teck Boon

DTS packages created with SQL Server 7 will not function properly in SQL Server 2000. You have to install the latest Service Pack to rectify this small but annoying problem.

    Good Luck!
