Unanswered: Recalling data in a form

I have a form which stores purchase information, this form also have the customer’s address and other related data.

My problem is for a new purchase, I have to reenter the customer’s information again. Is there a way around this?

A way in which if I select the customer id then the old information comes up- I make a few changes in the form and then save this as a new record?

    Any help is appreciated.

Why not use a combobox which will list all the customers already saved in your database?

You can then also allow for the addition of new customers by using the not_in_list property of the combobox.

So, on NOT IN LIST you add code to add them to the database.

I would not set this up as a FILTERED form, rather one based on a query. You would then add a button to update the databse based on what is entered on the form.

I hope this makes a little sense. I am rushed for time. If I get time later I may post an example.
