Unanswered: WAS 5.0.1 Universal JDBC Driver GSSCredential NoClassDefFoundError

    Hi,

I am trying to configure a DB2 datasource in WAS and I get a NoClassDefFoundError for the class org/ietf/jgss/GSSCredential when I test the connection.

The only place I can find this class is in rt.jar under a 1.4 JDK. I found nothing in the WAS or DB2 installation directories.

Essentially, I am having the same problem as this fellow here:

    http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/..._20657248.html

except I am working under W2K.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

It doesn't seem to be a db2 problem - it's rather the underlying security infrastructure.

You may want to look at this:

    ---
"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.

According to that article, seems like the only reference to GSSCredential is in the Kerberos section.

I have explictly added the custom property securityMechanism with the value com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2BaseDataSource.CLEAR_TEXT_PASSW ORD_SECURITY

    No change.

    Any other ideas?
