Unanswered: Can I turn off log files?

    Hi,

If can I turn off the log, because I want an application running more fast?

    Thanks a lot!

Re: Can I turn off log files?

I don't think you can do this ...

Only under very few occasions does DB2 give us the chance to do with minimal logging(note, it is not no logging)

    1) LOAD
    2) IMPORT REPLACE
    3) NOT LOGGED INITIALLY

But if you say, what you are trying to achive, someone here may be able to give more useful information ...

BTW, any good database will have 'protecting the data' as the highest priority ... Performance comes later ...
