    Question Unanswered: Set printer.paperbin >= 256

    By programmation in MDE access2002 DB I want to SET the paperbin for specific report
    to a paperbin found with the GetBinList ( DeviceCapabilities(lpsDeviceName:=strDeviceName,
    lpPort:=strDevicePort, iIndex:=DC_BINS, lpOutput:=aintNumBin(1), lpDevMode:=DEFAULT_VALUES) )
    But all the time a got a error if the number is different to the AcPrintPaperSize list.

    How can I set the application.printers("PrinterNAme").paperbin = 261 (>= 256) ?

    you can't, it is limited to that list and it doesn't go beyond 15....

    try using one of those preset values....

    Talking

    I found the way!
    I create a new printer; set all properties; set report printer equal to my new printer...

    Dim MyPrinter As printer

    Set MyPrinter = Application.Printers("\\Poste1\Eltron LP2642/2742")
    With MyPrinter
    .BottomMargin = 0
    .ColorMode = 2
    .ColumnSpacing = 0
    .Copies = 1
    .DataOnly = False
    .DefaultSize = False
    .Duplex = 1
    .ItemLayout = 1953
    .ItemsAcross = 1
    .ItemSizeHeight = 7200
    .ItemSizeWidth = 5760
    .LeftMargin = 0
    .Orientation = 1

    .PaperSize = 120
    .PrintQuality = 200
    .RightMargin = 0
    .RowSpacing = 0
    .TopMargin = 0
    .PaperBin = 243
    End With

    DoCmd.OpenReport sName, acViewPreview, , , acHidden

    Set rptTemp = Reports("ReportNAme")
    Set rptTemp.printer = MyPrinterdark blue

    I know your posting was some time ago, nevertheless I hope you could answer my question...

    How could you set .PaperBin = 243 without getting an error?

    Does printer \\Poste1\Eltron LP2642/2742 exist?
